Agreement
By using unstale.ai or purchasing an Unstale Pro license, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service. Questions are welcome at [email protected].
Who you are contracting with
Unstale is a product of Web & SEO Ltd, trading as webandseo.fr, a company registered in Hong Kong under company no. 1826120, at Unit G, 15/F, Tal Building, 49 Austin Road, Jordan, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Web & SEO Ltd owns and operates unstale.ai, publishes the free Unstale plugin on wordpress.org, and is the party you contract with under these terms.
The products
The free Unstale plugin is distributed on wordpress.org and rewrites, fact-checks and republishes stale WordPress posts using your own AI provider key, connected in WordPress. Unstale Pro is a paid add-on that adds the Strong and Maximal levels, scheduled automation, bulk refresh, per-category rules and priority email support.
Both plugins are licensed under the GPL, version 2 or later. Your Pro license controls access to updates, support and our license service. It does not restrict the rights the GPL gives you over the code.
Orders, billing and taxes
Orders are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for every purchase: it runs the checkout, charges your payment method, handles VAT and sales tax, and issues your invoice. The Paddle checkout buyer terms apply to the transaction. Prices are listed in USD and Paddle localizes the amount to your currency at checkout.
Licenses and activations
Annual plans give you the Pro features, updates and support on 1 site, up to 5 sites or unlimited sites, depending on the plan, for one year. They renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and the license keeps working until the end of the paid period.
The Founder lifetime deal is a one-time payment for a license valid for the lifetime of the product, on 1 site or up to 5 sites. There is no unlimited lifetime plan.
Activations are counted per site. You can deactivate a site from the plugin at any time to free a slot and move the license to another site.
License validation
The Pro add-on periodically contacts unstale.ai to validate your license, sending your license key, site URL and plugin version. If validation fails, everything keeps working during a 14-day grace period. After that, the Pro levels and updates pause until validation succeeds again. A lapsed license never modifies or deletes your content.
The model catalog service
We publish a public model catalog at https://unstale.ai/api/v1/models.json, which the free plugin fetches once every 24 hours to list the supported models and their prices. It is offered free of charge and as is, with no uptime commitment: if it is unreachable the plugin falls back to the catalog bundled in its files. Prices in the catalog are indicative and come from the providers; the amount you actually pay is set by your provider, not by us. We may change or discontinue this endpoint, in which case a plugin update will ship an updated bundled catalog.
Your API keys and AI content
Unstale is bring-your-own-key and we are not party to your relationship with an AI provider. You supply your own key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google; since WordPress 7.0 you connect it in WordPress under Settings > Connectors and WordPress holds it, so the plugin stores no key of its own, hands its prompts to the WordPress AI Client, and never routes your content through our servers. You pay that provider directly for usage and your use of their service is governed by their terms. Every rewrite lands in a review queue before publication: you are responsible for reviewing AI output and for the content you publish.
Fair use
- Do not share, resell or publish license keys beyond the site count of your plan.
- Do not abuse, overload or attempt to circumvent the license and update service.
- Do not use the products for unlawful content or purposes.

Warranty disclaimer
The products are provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that every rewrite is accurate, that the service is uninterrupted, or that the products fit a particular purpose. Keep backups of your site; the plugin's review queue and WordPress revisions exist so you always stay in control of what is published.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the products is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost data, or usage costs billed by your AI provider.
Termination
You can stop using the products at any time. We may suspend a license that breaks these terms, after contacting you at the email address on the order when reasonably possible.
Changes to these terms
Any change will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be listed in the changelog. Continued use of the products after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
